seven years of reflection

It’s hard to believe that Always and Forever started as a dream seven years ago.  I was amidst planning my own wedding in 2003 and thought that it was the perfect time to start Always and Forever…in fact my husband is the one (at the time my fiance) who encouraged me to move forward.  He even helped me think of the name  Always and Forever, because would say that we love each other for always and forever! Our first year we had three weddings, fun intimate and all very exciting.  In fact the first one was held at the Webb Barn in Old Wethersfield…fitting how we have another wedding there this month!  It’s almost an anniversary celebration for us!!

In 2004 we continued to boom with over 30 weddings that year!  Amazing what word of mouth does.  During these past seven years we have seen all types of weddings, elegant, extreme, amazing, beautiful and unique.  Our crazies moment was probably during Pam and Rob’s wedding in Rhode Island.  A dog decided to run down the church aisle right before Pam could……thankfully no one was hurt, and the ceremony could go on once the dog was shooed away!  Luckily Pam and Rob had a great sense of humor and they were even able to laugh about it at their reception when their videographer played the video of it!!

Another great one was during Emily and Michael’s wedding at Wadsworth Mansion.  The sky kept threatening thunderstorms….the bride rode in a beautiful horse-drawn carriage and just as the ceremony started the skies opened up.  We quickly rearranged the ceremony to take place indoors.  And of course the thunderstorm passed, so the guests could enjoy dancing outdoors the rest of the evening.

So many memories in seven years….we’d like to thank all of those brides and grooms who have helped make these last seven years amazing times for us.  We have enjoyed all of your worries, stresses and beautiful weddings.  Thank you for letting us be a part of your biggest day of your life!

Moving forward we are looking to plan even more weddings and special events throughout Connecticut and New York.
